Breastfeeding Support

WIC staff provides various levels of breastfeeding support to participating women. Prenatally, women receive breastfeeding and baby behavior classes.  After delivery, mothers receive a hospital visit from a lactation specialist or breastfeeding peer counselor.  Mothers may receive additional assistance at any of the WIC sites or they may call for a phone consultation.  After office hours a breastfeeding warm line is available to breastfeeding mothers during weekdays from 5 pm – 9 pm.  WIC also offers an Electric Breast Pump loan program for women with hospitalized premature or sick infants and women who are planning back to work or school.

Come to meet other moms, their babies, make new friends and share information and ideas!

Livingston – 2^nd Tuesday of the month 10:30 am

Merced-Main St. - 4th Tuesday of the month 1:30 pm
