The Board, leadership, and staff of MCCAA recognizes the dignity of all people. We value them and are committed to treating everyone with respect.
Commemorating 60 years of Community Action
MCCAA began as the Dos Palos Freedom Fighters in 1965. After the signing of the Economic Opportunity Act by President Lyndon B. Johnson, Community Action Agencies led the war on poverty movement, providing services to low-income communities all across the country.

Today, the Community Action movement proudly commemorates 60 years of this movement that continues to bring hope to families in need. In Merced County, Community Action remains a driving force against poverty through our Agency.
